Some guys at work were talking about Indexing spark plugs.
Anyone ever do this?
I was told that somehow by makeing the open part of the gap faceing the exhaust valve, it effects how the Fuel/Air Charge burns, and suposibly you can get more HP....


I don't quite understand how it would work or anything though...
Unless i misunderstand something,
all the spark does is start the fire...
Its the burning of the fuel / air that makes the power, not the spark.

 

I really don't think it would help, 4 valves with plug in the center... Not really any way to index that I can see.

 

alot of high horsepower drag cars do this, they want to squeeze as much power out as possible. Not sure if it works though, maybe 1hp
