Well that makes them even better! Taylor you should have no problem dialing in these injectors. I already have my fuel trims within +-2

 

I'm interested to see how hour mileage is affected with the better atomization. Mine went from 19.5 highway to 25.5. And that's on a 4.45 trans. I did my turbo swap at the same time though, so not sure how much is accredited to that.

In theory, though, better atomization equals more efficient combustion. And effeciency equals POWER!!!

 

Ill do the math. Wish I had done it before, but Ill figure it out and see.

 

Swapping to turbo will have the biggest mileage gain. My friend's LSJ on the 252et on 91 got 38-40 mpg on the highway after the swap. I won't have any comparison because I went from a stock motor stock trans blower with ID's to 2.1 with 6-speed, s259et and FIC's. Will be cool to see the difference in milage, but it will be everything collectively. Used to get 17-19 in town depending on how spirited I was, and 21-23 on the highway (27 one time), but it rarely gets on the highway for more than a few miles.

Took it out for its first drive last night! It was such a cool feeling. I also did something that I don't believe any Ion has done before...hit 6th. That was cool. The turbo is so spool happy, I was impressed. Never got above 4500 rpms or more than 55% throttle, but it just wants to come alive. I've been in hundreds of turbo cars, and this feels like it is going to be a very streetable setup!

I'm going to order tires this week. Then I'll have em mounted, will probably put them on in a few weeks or a month or so. The car won't really be driven until then except for a few times.
