InfraRedline's all out turbo and build thread
Very nice man. Your moving along at a great pace. I'm interested in what your doing for fuel as some how we have the exact same issue.
I have already planned something out for mine, but open to some options as well.

Richie, I'll message you about it later on today. Most of the stuff should be here early next week. Its pretty simple. Got a new canister on the way too, with no holes lol
I'm also curious as to what your doing for fuel. I'm having some issues during long pulls, it leans out real bad and breaks up. I thought about sumping the tank like I've seen a bunch of srt4s have done and just run a big single pump that'll support 600+ on e85

I havent touched the car since thursday, but tomorrow I wil get some things done.
I need to spell out my plans for the fuel setup, but my computer is so messed up, so it likes to skip letters, so it takes a long time to type anything lol. Essentially, I will be using my walbro 255 as a "lift" pump and it will sit on a bracket in the back of the tank and have a line running to the canister. It's primary job will be to keep a constant fuel flow to the canister, so under long pulls I won't be draining the canister anymore. The feed pump will be an AEM 320 E85 pump. Its really simple, and should work great.

Haven't done much on it in the past week. Got sick a few days ago and had some things to fix on the girlfriend's car.
I got the coilovers in late last week. Might need to get a little "dirty" with it, cause they don't go super low, but its about what I expected. Can't wait to drive with them! I also tapped the intake mani with a -6 bung to make the PCV port functional. Bolted the manifold and most of the charge piping up, drilled out the broken screw from my MAF pad and tapped that Mounted my catch can and ordered most of the fittings to make it work. Tomorrow I am going to have my friend weld in my EGT bung so I can put the manifold on and mount the turbo and the rest of the hotside.
Thats my little update for now!

I'll update what I know for Taylor because he's having computer problems haha. That's why he hasn't been on. The car runs and he has spent some time idling it. He just threw the bumper and everything back on last night. I think he still has an intake to make. Other than that it's ready to rip for the most part!

Computer is FUBAR, started new job, been busy with that and working on the car, BUT the good news is my new computer shows up finally next Tuesday, and I'm at the point where I can start having some time and using it at work so I can be on the forums again lol because thats the only time I come on here!
As for the car, it runs. It has for over 3 weeks now, really well too! I could drive it if I wanted right now, but its so cold out, so I'll wait a week or 2 before taking it for its maiden voyage. I'll post some pics shortly if I can get on Photobucket.
Things left to do to have the car ready:
Purchase FIC 1200's from Alan
Weld up a 4" intake
Weld wideband bung in DP
Order 4 245/40 R888's for my new wheels
Fix a tensioner squeek
Put my in cabin Hallman Pro MBC in
Pull intake mani and charge pipe off for paint
Boost leak test
Get -4an union fitting for oil pressure gauge
Mount a few gauges and hook them up
Put on my ZZP LCA's and get an alignment
I think thats pretty much it for the most part, so pretty much done!

Here's a few pics. I wasn't too good about taking in depth pics of everything, but I have a few decent ones. I just kind of get in the zone and roll with it when I am there usually.
From a few weeks ago:
Drilled manifold for the EGT bung

Bung welded in

Le turbo ready to go in

My fuel pump setup. I changed the feed loication just a bit after this pic. The AEM 320 is in the canister, and you can see the old Walbro 255 on the outside of it. The hose that is attached to it is pretty stiff, so it doesn't let it sag or sway more than a couple inches, so I didn't even have to make a bracket for it. Spliced the wires and used a connector as well. The pump sits right on the bottom of the tank 9" back from the canister, which is about 2" from the very back of the tank, so even with very low fuel levels this pump will fill the canister up. I have the fitting threaded into the canister and then siliconed with a gas resistant sealer that I have used on snowmobiles and such. It is at the bottom of the side and feeds right into the open space where the filter from the AEM sits. We will see how this works once the boost is turned up!

And the car back together last week
She will get a bath in the next few days!
