Ingalls question

just sold the turbo kit from my focus so i bought a stage 1 and 2 upgrade kit

the cobalt wheel hops like a mother and i want to stop it especially since im going stage 2. will this torque damper stop or reduce wheel hop and is it worth 150?

You know, I havent really had wheel hop, I think alot of it has to do with driver experience, cause I have stage 2 and gmpp exhaust and I can launch the car with near zero wheel hop consistently.Course I dont launch at a real high rpm....that may have alot to do with it...

When I had a weapon R TD for a VERY SHORT TIME, like 25 miles of driving. I experienced a very loud raspy scrapping noise. I tried adjusting like as loose as it could get and still alot of noise. Did anyone experience this with the ingalls?

Nope, mine works great.

WeaponR = **** --this is from everything that I hear. Their torque damper doesnt look very solid either.

The Ingalls helps with wheel hop. It doesn't stop it. On the street it's great. But at the track...another story. If you want to completely stop it get some mounts.
If it's just a dd your just looking to help out the wheel hop with it's fine.

Some experience the brackets to bend on the torque dampeners. We sell a complete replacement mount that is very firm. Check out www.TurboTechRacing.com there are some great reviews on it.

Re

The Ingalls helps but I use mine in conjuction with Poly transmissions mounts that I paid like $50 for, it completely eliminates wheel hop, I would buy the ingalls and some poly trans mounts, best thing to do and its less than $200 for both.

Both of these will increase the engine noise on the inside of your car, nothing to bad, but just an FYI

Hopefully this isn't a stupid question but i have an engine mount and trans inserts on the way. It's not necessary to get the ingalls, right? Thanks

You should be fine with just the mounts. The ingalls goes on the motor mount, but you are getting a poly motor mount, so you dont need the ingalls. Its like one or the other.

I have the Ingalls and poly trans mounts (the mounts aren't in yet, lol).
