I ordered one, it hasn't arrived yet. I'll take plenty of pics. I have a dyno available when it gets here. I'll do 3 runs without it and 3 runs with it. I know it's shipped, its just a matter of time.

If you don't mind waiting I'll be more than willing to share the info.

Make sure your engine coolant temperature is the same for each pass. If not, make it cool down a couple of minutes to get the same temp. Make all in 4th gear. The weight of the car is roughly 2900 pounds, do not enter some false value.

I'm with the rest of you...................after someone posts pics and vids we'll all know pretty much what the best intake is. Each one seems to have its good and bad points. K&N seems to be most reliable with some increase in HP. Fujita has good increase in HP with some fitment issues and is most expensive. Injen is less expensive with dif. technology in design. So we really need to see the results that injen has achieved before everyone can do this mod with confidence. The Sh***y thing for me is that I can't seem to find someone who will ship this intake to Canada!!!!!

What do Y'all think???

JBP Vortex CAI is the way to go. NO CEL!! I bought one and it gave me 13HP gain. I will have dyno graph up in a few days after I get my new scanner.

http://www.jbodyperformance.com/new/newIndex.php

Check it out. My friend has the Injen in his, and mine sounds so much meaner! The K&N is good but will give you a CEL after about 20 minutes of driving.

This CAI is a customer made CAI for the Cobalt SS/SC 2.0 Its amazing. Its performance gains... you can feel them through all gears, specially through high RPM ranges. The sound is awesome too. You can hear the damn thing about 1/4 mile away. I tested it with my dad. Lol.

And here is the kicker. There is a guy I know at Car Toys, who drives a EVO8, and we have races before... The first time was at the track, and I got smoked. I did not have my JBP CAI in at that point. We raced again on the highway, doing about 75MPH, doing a 3rd gear drop. He beat me byt about 1 car, or more. Then I got my CAI, installed it, and wanted another try. So, I drove up to the shop, waiting for him to get off work, and we went back out on the highway.

Again, we did a 75MPH drop to 3rd gear. We both punched it. He gained about half a car on me, then it happened. I felt a little more of a pull. I gained on him steadily through 3rd and then shifted to 4th, and passed him doing about 100MPH. We went till about 130MPH and stopped. I had 1 full car on him.

My friend with his Injen CAI tried the same thing with him the next week, and couldnt gain on him. I then tried to drive it, I was beat.

The JBP Vortex CAI is amazing. Check it out! I assure you, you will not be disappointed.

interesting post.
Well, I'm pissed... I get off work early, not early enough though.
The FEDEX guy beat me by 20 minutes. I drove around to see if I could find him. No luck...
It's scheduled for 9-6 tomorrow....hopefully it comes early and I can get on the dyno.
Now, all I have to do is buy a digital video camera and figure out how to get it on the net
