Installed ZZP Engine mount

So yeah I installed it, took me all of 10 minutes, just used a jack to support the motor from undernieth and unbolted the stock one and bolted in the ZZP one.

Anyways this thing has made my car LOUD, im not sure if I even like it, however all my wheel hop is gone so thats a big plus!

ZZP Tranny mounts are next, followed by a sportline drop :P then intake n exhaust

EDIT: I think I am goign to end up Dynomatting my floor! (So far no false knock)

Even on stock mounts I learned after a while how to launch the car without much wheelhop. It took some practice but I was starting to master it. Then I decided to install the TTR tranny mounts just to see what I could accomplish with them. At 50$ it was worth try.

After installation of these mounts my car rattled like crazy, especially when the A/C was on, but the shifts were smoother and wheelhop was gone. It's been a few weeks now and I've been pantient enough to see whether they would brake in and cause less vibrations. Now it vibrates less so maybe in a month or so it will become even more tolerable.

I can image that installing both the engine and the tranny mounts will make the car shake the driver to death. So I would recommend to first of all learn how to launch the car on the stock mounts and if you don't master it, install just the tranny mounts first. I don't think that installing both these mounts is necessary, because they will probably annoy the hell out of you.

Actually many have found out by doing BOTH the tranny and TTR upper mount the vibs are even less, as you dont have one side "flopping" around causing movement and vibs...

Anyways the vibes went down alittle, but still annoys the hell out of me, hopefully the vibes will calm down, at idle the car is fine, jsut like stock, however when i step on it god damn its loud.

once the mounts actually pass the "break in" period,it will feel like stock untill u launch it and realize you dont have hop

What brand mounts do you have Super_SS? I am hopefully going to meet up with another Cobaltss.net member to compare between vehicles, but until then its going to drive me nuts, The mounts do seem to be quieting down abit.

were your replacement mounts from TTR stiff as hell when you got them, almost like plastic or did they have some give? my ZZP ones have 100% no give as of right now.

Are you going to any cobalt meets? id like to meet more cobalt owners, i know none.
