Question about boost bypass mod

I know i have read that its not a really good idea because it screws with AFRs and what not, but if you do the mod would you still suffer from belt slip. I was just wondering so i could maybe rule out belt slip as a reason for my boost bleed off at red line.

The Ecu bleeds off the boost near redline, it has nothing to do with belt slip. This is the way all cobalt ss come from stock, i ran the boost bypass mod for a while before my stage 2, honestly couldnt tell a difference at all, plus its not worth the warranty issues if something goies wrong. get a stage upgrade or get the ecu retuned in HP Tuners to prevent this
