it's an o-ring, totally re-useable.

Do you already have an endplate?

The o-ring gasket can be reused if it doesn't get taken off the intake manifold. Once it comes off, it stretches and is a bitch to put back in. I had to replace mine cause it wouldn't stay in place and seal.

if your endplate was warped, either something dumb was done to it or you got some really serious effin issues.

if something dumb was done it would have been done at the factory its alluminun with a very thin sealing edge after many heat cycles will warp it then when u unbolt it your fucked it wont hurt to check and mill if needed

As far as the o-ring stretching, Protip: put it in the freezer for 15 min. Shrinks right up.
Works good if you don't have the paitence to put it back in carefully, I've never had to replace one on any of the installs i've done for people, they go back in just fine.

As far as the endplate warping: I've checked a couple of them for flatness when I get the cores back, none have ever been out enough to cause an issue. Also, as you mentioned, it has a thin sealing edge (relatively speaking, it's about 5/16" thick at the narrowest, and has plenty of structure, not gonna warp easily at any rate), so if it is a little out, it will pull down within reason.

heat cycles? the endplate has coolant running through it constantly the endplate is also not "thin" by any means. go ahead and stop now before the hole gets too deep.

Yeah, I was gonna touch on that as well. Unless your ambient temps are below 0F, i'd highly doubt that plate will ever see a 100 degree swing. Definatly not enough to warp a cast piece like that. Especially since it will be evenly applied.

100 degrees isn't going to warp that thick of aluminum

hell during the summer it stays over 100 degrees for months at a time lol
