How do you plan on fitting that in the engine bay? Have you done any test fitting yet?

i hope you see gains. i would love to see an intercooler, that is insulated from the SC, but that the blower mounts right on top of, then a collector and individual intake runners designed to equally distribute the airflow.

like what rebel was doing. show me that, i will buy it.

like what rebel had planned, after collecting 2000 dollar for R&D from forum members.. show me that, i will buy it.

don't start that **** man, seriously. they were the only ones to tackle it, and they came up with a design, and they wanted to collect to make sure there was enough interest to support making it.

it's turdnuggets like you that kill forward progress with this car. if you didn't want to pay, then don't. those of us that do, can.

FYI... your redline has much less space up front than a Cobalt does. His design, though tight, will fit.

That completely sucks that this wont work in a redline!!!!!! Or will it? I think I can find room anywhere to extend as long as there is clearence. So don't get your hopes down! I'll help the first Redline guy. I'll post the final product today before I install it!

Is that guy still intrested in my luminova's?

Oh, you must be one of the "turdnuggets" that didnt reasearch their other funded and failed products..........asking end users to fund the project, so you can make money, isnt how business is done. I considered the idea, and if 19 people actually got in on it, I might have been the 20th.....but obviously that is a dead issue.

As far as support in making it, they only need to make one, and prove that it worked. It doesnt take 2000 dollars of end users money to do that.......

I'm not going through his thread... so, please link.... cause theoretically that shouldn't happen. Boost should drop.

Well... he's either full of it, or never noticed it boosting that high before.
Long story short, boost does not mean power... flow means power.
Less resistance does not increase boost.

I know this, because I was (to the best of my knowledge) the first person to do a ported manifold. Boost decreased.

his boost gauge could have been broken

Know how I know Kanuks are fail...

Map sensor is placed after the cores. You would be increasing airflow into that area, but since cylinder head was not touched. Air pressure is increasing in that space.

Re-read post please.
I did it... I saw it myself.
And my boost gauge is functioning perfectly fine.

Boost decreases.

Flow or not... lower IAT's = less boost. Basic thermodynamics.
Us Kanuks take school yo....

True, I see both of youre arguments. When my GTP was stock I put a 3.25 inch pulley and boost screamed to 18psi. My friend did a simple intercooler upgrade and bigger valves and port work and is running a 3" pulley his boost only climbs to 10psi ask Fred at SMG. So is it the temp or is it the valve/head work? I personally think it was the both of them! I pray my boost pressure goes down and HP/TQ goes way up!!!!!! If Fred is reading this I have your 500 I"ve just been busy I'm in the Navy dude, I'm sorry!

You guy's know about moving your fuel line from directly over your header to under the brake fluid resivior. The coupler that connects the fuel line to the fuel rail swivels. That will increase your fuel economy who cares about HP!

And boost does not mean power your correct!!! Untill your at the point where you need boost to increase power safely, understand! Most of the guys subscribed to this are at the highest levels of HP possible without switching to a turbo so I just want to help get everyone more safe reliable power for cheap! I'm currently copie writing my design to protect it. You can still build it though, I actually challenge someone to do a air to air! DJ I'de much rather do yours air to air if you'll let me then we'll know the truth to which one is better know doubt they both make grate gains!

Ok. To date.

One person w/ ported IM = less boost

One person w/ ported IM = more boost

But there are other factors to consider...

Pulley size?
Alinment of the Laminova Cores?
Ported Super Charger?
Intake?
Exhaust restrictions?

They all could play a role on the final results.

They aren't the only ones that have done the ported intake manifold. One of the motors I built had it done. Just didn't share any information.

I won't get into the temperature argument. For temperature to make that much of a difference in pressure, it would have to be upwards of 100+* cooler, and that is being generous.
