A good automotive hardware store should have dowel pins to replace them, I don't know the size off hand though.

Check Ace hardware Jerry. I've been working on my old truck lately and been going there for bolts. The ones near me have a lot of odd ball stuff and just may have them

I had one fall into the IM way back when putting on the GM pulley. I freaked but luckily was able to fish it out very easily with a magnet.

realistically u could have left it in there. its to big to fit through the ic cores in the intake manifold..but i would have fished it out anyways also.

Went to Ace Hardware to try to find these guides (dowel pins) and they didn't have any the proper length or thickness so looks like I'll continue without them
