Dear Intense,

Ito your awesome-ness!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

all i'm wondering is what type of gains are ya'll getin outta the ported blower???

I've always been under the impression that porting such a small blower wouldent net much of a gain but i could be wrong.

1. The machined snout is a bolt on snout so you keep your original snout for the blower to go to stock correct ?No, you need to either send yours, or pay the 200 core, swap it out, and send your stock. this is why I am scetchy, little hard to go back to stock if your gonna machine down the snout.

2. This has been tested on 93 and 94 octane or do you need a higher octane ?from what i understand, it has been tested on 93-94.

3. There are no other supporting mods needed to run all the way up to stg 5 safely ? I mean a new clutch after you burn your is a given but what about anything else.A scan gauge

4. Would you like to slap this **** on my car if I drive down there to be a test pig ? Im thinking you probably have test pigs though.I bet they would if you paid like everyone else.

5. Can you loan me $1000 lol NO

In regards to the CASE learn. The CASE learn (Or crankshaft variation learn procedure) is mandatory when you physcially change the PCM, cams, or the crankshaft sensors. It basically teaches the PCM the variances between the 3x and 18x crank signals. The car will still be driveable (so you can take it to a dealer if need be) but we don't recommend going over 1/2 throttle as the potential for engine damage is there.

To oversimplify the reason for the CASE, the PCM could command to much timing if it tries to apply a previously learned variation (from another car) to your cars variation which is different.

If you don't physically change the PCM (IE you send it in to use to be programed ahead of time, or come to the shop for us to program) then you don't need a CASE learn. You still may be required to do a security learn (the in your driveway procedure) but in most cases not.

Stage 5 install is $225.00 at our shop. There are no core charges if its done here in the shop unless you want to keep your stock parts. Installs will be based on appointment and limited by parts availability.

INTENSE Dyno Proven Stage Kits

It's a shame that most of these dynos, where on different cars, so there is now real why of accurately comparing the different stages. The current dyno sheets provided al a little misleading.
also WTF is with that stock Redline Base dyno at 231HP for stage 1?

GAIN shown on dyno sheet
Stage 1 = 11 psi boost and up to 235 WHP and 215 WTQ = 4.5HP + 8.9TQ

Stage 2 = 13 psi boost and up to 245 WHP and 230 WTQ = no dyno

Stage 3 = 15 psi boost and up to 255 WHP and 245 WTQ = 10.4HP + 18.9TQ

Stage 4 = 17 psi boost and up to 265 WHP and 260 WTQ = no dyno

Stage 5 = 19 psi boost and up to 275 WHP and 275 WTQ = 16.4HP + 11.3TQ

If you guy’s ever get the chance to dyno a close to stock car that want stage 5, I would suggest doing all stages and giving accurate numbers.

WHat would be suggested to mod internally other than clutch to run the stage 5?

They probably are from a cobalt or redline, but the problem is they where using different cobalts,
the dyno sheets are inconsistent to each other.
the only way to see exactly what are the gains at each stage, you would have to use one car and dyno that same car with all 5 stages.

yah it's a lot of work, but one your trying to sell a product you should always attempt to provide the most accurate information possible.

I'm sure that, given more time Intense will have the opportunity do make this comparison.

You have been here for a month, Don't start questioning peoples credibility when you have no idea who you are talking about. Intense has proven themselves time and time again on this board. I think they have earned the members trust.

All of their "power gain" numbers are conservative, which should mean that the ones they tested gained more power than they put.

well i understand the skepticism. People you have to realize just because people ask for more proof and say they do not trust posted dyno sheets does not mean they do not trust the vendor. Regardless of the vendor if you just had someone a fistfull of cash without researching your product first then you are an idiot. Business rule #1 always know who you are sleeping with. So stop jumping all over the people that are doubting the posts. To me the best consumer is the informed one and I am sure Intense and any other vendor will agree.
