Intense ECU Installed!!!

After waiting 2 months for my GM kit, I finally cancelled the order and ordered the Intense Stage 5 ECU, 60lb Injectors and Harness. I got everything in the mail Monday morning and I had it installed this morning along with my Billetflow 2.7" Pulley.

Let me tell you.....This car ******* screams now. from a roll in second gear it is a tough job for both the clutch and the tires to keep making forward progress. The boost hits sooner and harder than I could have ever imagined and it doesn't stop until 7000rpm!! The feeling is unreal.

I am hoping to be able to get to the dyno sometime this week. I want to check out the a/f ratios to make sure everything is in check and that CAI isn't causing any problems. I will post the results when I have them.

Awesome work Intense, keep the good stuff coming!

They sent me a new ECU.

I have to run to the dealer tomorrow to get the Crank Position Sensor code cleared but the car is running 100%

DONT run it to 7k without doing CASE relearn first you could damage your engine permanently, only half throttle

The CASE relearn is done. The scanner that was used just couldn't clear the code for some reason.

What did u tell the dealer? Don't flash the computer and just perform the CASE with a Tech 2 scanner? I'm nervous about buying the Stage 5 because I don't want my dealer to screw the thing up by flashing it and erasing the new tune

I havn't been there yet. The shop that did my install had access to a Tech II scanner but it didn't have the 2006 update to clear the code. I am going to bring the car to a different dealer than the one I bought it from and have them do it so I won't be givin a hard time if I go in for warranty work. The ECU comes with an information sheet that tells the tech exacty what to do. It has nothing to do with a full re-flash

that doesn't make sense how can a scanner clear you code and not the tech 2?

The tech II can clear the code. The one we used didn't have the full 2006 update so it couldn't clear the code off the ECU. From what I have been told, the scanners at the dealerships are updated every 2 weeks. I had mine done in a small shop, not the dealer

what a mean is even the code scanners you buy at canadian tire can clear that code, I find it odd that the Tech 2 can't.

I know because I have the p0017 code ( cam to crank angle) that comes on because of my cams and I have had it cleared many times.

Boost is at least 17 Psi, I don't pay a lot of attention to the guage when driving, especially at WOT.

I may upgrade to the 2.5 but the 2.7 is working great for me right now. Less chances to break things with the 2.7 as well

Does anyone know how much a Tech 2 costs? I have been searching the past few days and can only find hard facts, no pricing. I imagine it is quit expensive!?

Also depending on what 2.7 your using he would need supercharger snout . With INTENSE anything below and 2.8 needs a supercharger snout. but with ZZP

" pulleys do not require snout maching. By developing Ecotech specific pulleys we run all the way down to 2.6" w/o snout machining."

Also Stage 5 is alot of money

"INTENSE™ LSJ Stage 5 Performance Package

Quantity in Basket: none
Code: LSJ-Stage5
Price:$999.99"
