You pretty much got it correct your compression ratio is how much your a/f mixture is compressed. The only Problem i see is with higher compression ratios and more boost there is more of a chance for detination. Which means 93 octane isn't going to cut it after awhile!? Especially with the 10.5 pistons and high boost. i'd be interested to see what happens....

I do know of a alot of peolpe running higher compression ratios and lower boost numbers and making big power in doing so. So someone do the install to see what happens. I would def. consider doing them.

With the gear spread we have, i think more torque will help us more than anything so that being said. Higher compression and a little less boost will net us more torque.

probably wouldnt hurt to do anything with the injectors if more air is getting in there right?

power gain from higher compression is minimal. maybe 1 or 2 ponies per tenth of a compression.

plus higher compression means lower boost, unless u want to blow ur motor.

Lower boost = lower outlet temps = less kr = more timing = more dense air charge= more power!

Do some research, it is the new trend!

You might wanna read the 300 HP LSJ build articles that GMPD wrote. They upped the boost and upped the compression ratio. I doubt they wrote it so people would blow there motors.

crazyness. What about doing a 10.0/1 piston swap in a stock car. Will that be feasable. For someone going for the sleeper. Or do we need to wait until Conmputer tuning is available for proper gains?
