intercooler pump issues

so im beatin on my ride today, and near the top of second gear my scan gauge says my iat2s are 305, daaaamn, so i guess i got such bad knock it shut the car off, so i turn the car back on and the iats start returning to normal, whats the issue?! gm just replace that pump, this is the second time the pump shut off or whateever its doing, i really cant figure out if the pump is shutting off, or i have a tiny leak near the front mount its letting air into the intercooling system, could this be compromising the cooling ability of it?

Jack the car up and start it, listen to see if the pump turns on. It makes like a whine sound. If it doesn't grab a hammer or some type of tool and hit it until it does. This is NOT a joke lol its an actual working method. Basically what happens is the pump gets metal shavings built up that makes a certain piece not turn, there for the pump isn't flowing any liquid. So ya, go smash it with a hammer.

Have you had issues with getting air out of the system? LOL. I installed my SC with the stock filler neck for now and it is a b*** getting air out of there!

Hey Gene thats why Option B was invented. the stock system wont get the air out as the system entrains air, and option B bleeds it out. How are things btw I see you active on the Y car forums....

Thanks for letting me know. This stock system is a real whooper snapper, lol. I'm out there putting a couple of teaspoons at a time in there.

Today I even hooked it up without the car running and let it run and you could hear it garling and stuff and then air bubbles would come up through the filler neck.

So with the option B I would lose the filler neck all together right?

I'd like to know how that bolts up as I like to keep mine looking factory like.

I am doing pretty good now that I have my car running... just getting through the little bugs after getting it installed and running.

I do a lot of business on the Y forum. Who are you there??

yes the option B uses a saturn redline coolant tank, looks stock, OTTP (Josh you will like him) have the brackets for it and the must have bleed restrictors etc etc and if you email me I will send you plumbing diagrams for either dual pass or stock 4 pass or if you want a single pass (we make them) . Devon and I lurk on the Y car forums its bad enough i am posting on these balt forums, the Y car stuff would be nuts. Getreal, Justakar are some of our customers there good folks...Lou G is active along with louis and Anthony etc I dont need to be there for sure....

ok ok found the issue when i went under there, when chevy put the worm drive clamp back onto the intercooler pump inlet, so a little coolant was leakin out, barely noticable, but it was letting air into the system, which was bubbling up in the intercooler pump and stalling it out, this is all hypothsis after chevy ****** up and leaving a clamp finger tight ftl

I certainly need to talk to you on this so I can get rid of this stock fill neck I just purchased.
