Intercooler pump option?

cant find any specs on it, but maybe you guys can help.

half the price of the unit on our cars but maybe just as good maybe better?
its made by Bosch and looks to be similar in design. the only thing would be to make an adapter for the plug, but that's easy enough.

With all due respect they are not the same.

The one on eBay does 320 GPH (Gallons Per Hour).

Here is what the GM service manual says.

The supercharger has an integrated intercooler. Cooling the air enhances the effectiveness of the supercharger. The intercooler uses conventional coolant in a separate sealed system from the engine cooling system. The intercooler system has a radiator, a reserve tank/filler neck, a pressure cap, attaching hoses, and a pump capable of a 26 liters (7 gallons) per minute flow rate. The pump is commanded ON, by the control module, whenever the engine is running.

7 gallons per minute x 60 = 420 GPH.

The Bosch numbers on both are different as well.

I will say that for my recent SC project I bought the one for the Ford Lightning (320 GPH) on eBay for $89.95.

based on what I know 5 gpm is what they are really capable of; the service manual (dont know what generation you have) is repeating information that may not neccessarily correct....

Well, all I can say is that the actual Bosch numbers on the pumps are different, so that would give me an indication there was a GPH difference.

Since I am a GM Employee, I use the electronic service manuals, which are always up to date.

Up to date sure, but hardly accurate, there lots of errors in the manual.

I found a new error just today.... look up this document tell me its "up to date" Doc ID#768089

Gene you can trust Maven. And I did extensive testing with GM on pumps; we were the guys who figured out redlines were wired backwards. Anyhoo any of those bosch pumps are good and you got one lol

your stock cobalt ic pump flows 317gph.
im running the merziers pump wp136s pump flow is 1200gph note this will go down some after running threw the system but the pump is better than stock and seems to be out doing the factory pump im seeing better ait2 temps and when they rise they drop quicker and seeing a stronger flow that of stock pump. im sure that i posted this now zoomer from zzp will be here shortly to talk crap....note you have to do alot of fabing for the pump im running. but theres nothing wrong with running the factory pump or another one, the stock one just wasnt going to cut it for me with all the stuff i have in my motor now.

copy that good work; Sharkey in BC is running the merziere also and likes it fine...10-4 on the fabbing...if you run an LE5 pan for better oil control in corners you gotta fab a bracket for the stock pump anyway...and 10-4 on the zumah...

Yes, there are errors in the manuals, but they are up to date, lol.

Like I said, the Bosch numbers are different and the costs are much different, so that would indicate a difference to me.

Maven or the mighty John.

Can either of you look at my thread and tell me what you think about my MAP sensor? Remember, I supercharged the 2009 LAP engine and this is the first one that is being done and first LAP SC to be tuned by Vince.

has anyone even been on the bosch website for these pumps? They only have one option for the inlet and outlet sizes that we use.
