intercooler pump pig tail or not

My IC pump is not working. I notice the bosch IC pump can be ordered with a pigtail - or not. Do I need a supplemental pigtail? On my 2006 ss/sc - it looks like the car's wiring harness merely plugs into the elec motor-end of the pump. If I don't need it - who uses the pigtail? Just curious.
thx

Pigtail my be susceptible to corrosion so they have an option to include it so it can be replaced with the pump. If your pigtail is in good condition you shouldn't need it unless the part that connects to the pump is a new different style or something like that.

Some people need the pigtail because they are putting the pump on a car that wasnt originally supercharged.
