Intercooler Pump Problems.

So yeah, My if I go WOT, the car will stay at 160 IA2Ts, and it wont go down, I looked in the place where you fill the coolant for the intercooler setup and there is no movement, Do you guys think this could be the intercooler pump, thats what I think it is, How much do you guys this it costs?

Sounds like the pump. Was it working better before?

In case you don't know there are places other than the dealer to buy them

Can anyone confirm that this is in fact the actual Pump the cobalt uses too.

Paul (06blackg85ss) uses that one. I read over on the Redline forum a few others do as well.

LJ, did you check the fuse in the black box under the hood? Also, there is a connector that clips onto the pump, is that still connected? Also check the ground that is next to the starter as well.

im gona check the fure under the hood first. I havent done any of the above. Maybe I blew the fuse because my meth is wired in the fuse box and it actually stopped working one day after I went WOT.

Check the fuse and relay under the hood, check the plug on the pump itself. Then hit the pump with a hammer, it can maybe get it spinning again and then you know you need to replace it.

Found the problem!
The ac was leaking water in the connector of the pump so after a while the pump would shut down because of the water. thats why when I would start the car it woud work for a while until the water would get to the connector and stop working. SO I put a bunch of tape around it and problem fixed~!!

since this is an intercooler pump thread. has any one put a larger intercooler pump, or a faster one? (meaning one that moves more liquid faster.)

It is said that the stock pump is sufficient. Just due the dual pass and/or second/larger heat exchanger
