more pressure doesnt always mean a higher flow rate. The pumps are both rated at 8 gal/min so they should move the same amount of coolant. IMO, i might be wrong.

I know but that is the best 1 to use than CXRacing 1. Sometime I just wish GM would make it better and last longer.

i have heard of a guy who did not know if he should have laughed or cried when he opened the shipped box cuz the CXracing pump is so cheaply made (material-wise). But if it were plug and play , i would have bought it lol

gm dosent make the pump bosch does if you want it to last longer spray the electrical side of the pump out with electric motor cleaner

technicaly a brushless pump wont wear out there are no brushes in it

the only thing to wear in a brushless motor is the bearings.

i myself run a meziere pump. its far from a bolt on, costs double what the bosche pump does. wide open flow without the fittings is 20gpm, however through 3/4" hose im sure it cuts that down quite a bit. zzp says it flows less than the bosche pump in real world tests but im not sure i believe it. my experience with it is iat temps dont rise nearly as quick, and drop quicker after a pull.

You can get the brushes from any tool repair store, they are a pretty common bosch item. Rebuilding the pump is a bitch though, and it still won't last longer.

not to mention the soft brushes beat the crap out of the commutator. to make new brushes last you need to machine it flat. anyone with a lathe could do that, but your only going to get one very light cut out of it. these pumps arent designed to be rebuilt, and as such they dont have much material there to play with.

My new pump came in via ebay link above. It is HALF the size of the bosch pump and weighs less.

Tested it out and it seems to work good.

I do recommend this pump.

just because it says it flow more doesnt mean it will cool more...think about it this way...the water is going through the heat exchanger right? so theortically the longer it takes to get through the cores of the exchanger, the cooler it should get...

True but its also going slower through intake mani cores.

meaning that it is collecting more heat from the air.....which is a good thing.

i did some research on the coolant flow thing, i found some info saying the laminova cores used in our manifolds work most efficiently at 10gpm through each core. faster and the coolant wont absorb the heat correctly, slower and the coolant gets to the same temp as the air before it exits the cooler and isnt working efficiently.

going by that theory, stock 4 pass is a terrible idea, dual pass is better but needs higher flow. being you run 2 cores in series and those in parallel, something around 20gpm would be much better. for a single pass manifold the theoretical water flow should be around 40gpm. now, flowing that amount through 3/4" hose, let alone the orfice holes in the laminova isnt going to happen with a typical water pump, it would require a pump that creates some pressure.

end result, more flow is better but we arent going to get much more than stock.

Wonder if a dual pump would be a good idea. The pump in OP post is so small it could almost be supported by the hoses themselves, maybe throw a zip tie some where.

I changed the diagram on ZZPs website. Added 2nd pump. T-connections are in black and added pump plumbing is in orange.

Probably wouldn't do much than make it easier on the other pump and really by the diagram it be hard on both cuz your trying to pump those 10 gpm into 1 hose...

I hated routing my coolant lines just for my dual pass on a stock IC pump setup..f*ck running two pumps lol...

05 vue redline...what part # and where did you get your brushes? Id like to have mine fixed before the bash if i can, thats in 2 days!
and no one carries them locally, so id have to pay for a new one that wont be here that quick...if i dont fix it by bash, ill just buy a new replacement
