Yes and yes because that little cap in the pictures is actually where you drop ice, or what I'm using, dry ice, in it to chill the intercooler fluid which has shown very promising. I have seen it to where the temp drops 25-30 degrees and gains 20whp. The guys from Torque Forward have one but chose not to release it for numerous reasons for either the RL or CSS.

I made the mock up of it, should get here early next week with the actual prototype! If anyone has seen a RL up close and personal, you will see how much larger the RL area is than the CSS. The one for the RL is larger than the Cobra's. But the LFP design for the Cobalt will incorporate everything for the most room possible so expect to see it maybe mid August!

Oh and tomorrow I should have dyno numbers and IAT2 drops for the LFP HE...

PS: LFP has been trying to get set up as a vendor, but no one is helping them out with it! I gave them one of the IDs a while back of one of the admins to get set up.

That's awesome news!! Tell LFP to contact : info@cobaltss.net to become a supporting vendor. You probably already know but Jonel is the man to talk to. He is the site admin/owner he is usualy very quick at answering his e-mails.

Cant wait to see the results on your IAT2 drops and Dyno.

Wouldn't the coolant reservoir be the tank right by the strut on the driver side?

Edit: it's the overflow but would it help to put ice in that one?

That is the engine coolant. The reservoir for the IC system is the little tube at the front of the engine bay. LFP is making a larger one that will go on the passenger side of the car.

It really wouldn't help if you ice the engine coolant unless your engine temps are really high. If you lower it below the 180 where the engine is designed to run, it could actually decrease the efficiency of the engine. You would make the engine run richer to increase the engine temp back to the optimal operating temp.
