Yeah not to mention the trouble the IRS will give him
Hmm he's ordered 25 stage 1 and stage 2 kits, but he's only got 1 Cobalt - even the dumbest tech they have there will be able to do the math.

I would be careful around water if you plan to use a CAI with that body kit. I can see it now, some jackass comes flying past as you are waiting at a business exit, and he/she decides to splash your car, or pedestrians walking on the sidewalk by your car. Next thing you now the car stops and doesn't want to restart. Unscrew a spark plug and you have Old Faithful in your engine bay.

Also selling the kits after buying them with your discount would be illegal. They would catch on and probably fire you.

As long as he gets fired after I buy a kit from him it's all good.

im pretty sure there are legality issues there. if you are working at a dealership you have to sign plenty of papers

Ram Air should yeild nearly zero gain over a conventional CAI and certainly not enough to justify this project particularly since it has no plenum

ram-air inlet systems only work if the air is fed into a sealed plenum volume that is attached to the device it is to serve such as carburetors or throttlebodies. Because the inlet is supplied at over ambient pressure, the manifold density is increased as a result.

the equation Pressure = (mph)^2 x .0000176, where
Pressure in psi from ram air, mph = vehicle speed in miles per hour, .0000176 = a constant ...even at 100 mph the gains are very minimal and usually overcome by the drag created by the ram air design ..

Too bad Ram Air as a whole is pretty much a marketing gimmick.

Grand Am GT Ram Air = Gimmick
WS6 Ram Air = Gimmick (somewhat functional with cutting)
Camaro SS Ram Air = Gimmick
GTO Ram Air = Gimmick

A street driven car doesn't move fast enough to pressurize air enough to where it is actually forced into the intake.

it doesnt function as one persay yet, i need to get a new filter to attach the hose to, however, it does sound good, and the intake is indeed getting nice cold outside air..... for 25 bucks, im the only one that has one.... so that makes it cool too..... it was much cheaper then a ram air hood, and is a lot more functional to me.....

You didn't put it in a place that would increase drag, so you should get the benefits, what little there are. I does look cool though. Like the Cobalt drag car.

probobly not ..the very minimal gains acheived by lower temp air in the front are probobly negated by the disrupted path the air has to travel (not to mention the disruption in air flow the plumbing used will create) ..it most likly offers lower HP than a conventional CAI
