It's about that time

Hello all.
I've had my 06 ss/sc for a couple.months now and its about time to really start working on this ******.
I've decided to go ahead.and start hording my parts, hopefully i'll have everything installed and tuned by tax
season so I can take the next step and stance this bitch.

Current mods:
AEM 3" CAI
Corsa Touring 2.5" catted dp/4 inch tip. (Too ricey?)
A new set of eyes..

And uh. Sad but true, that's it.
I've developed a wish list of **** that I'd like to get my hands on and put on..

Smoothflow stg2 Pulley hub
GM Stage 2 belt:
80# fuel injectors (Any suggestions on brand?)
Walbro fuel pump (Again, looking for a good price/results ratio)
Already got a 2.9" smoothflow pulley on the way
Headers: Not sure on a brand.. I'm leaning towards a 4-2-1 vibrant but open to other options.
Looking for a decent h/e and possibly dual pass.. (someone elaborate on the differences please?)
Tuned with Hptuners by ECMSforless out of Mooresville
I'm no subject matter expert here; as far as I know I should be e85 capable and making 260whp hopefully.

Its a baby step to some, but this is my first project on any car. Installation will be done by me with aome assistance from you guys of course!
Point of this thread?
Im open to learning anything and everything i can about basic setups like this.
Im also going to need guidance along the way about where to get the best quality parts for good prices.

With that being said, with the mod wishlist above, would I be:
E85 capable
Making 260+ whp.
Safe to run without blowing it up
Capable of not making myself look silly on the forums.

Any and all tips/pointers are highly.appreciated!

Oh, and be easy on me. Use (kinda) dummy terms with me as I'm still learning..
Looking forward to what you guys have for me!

Do Ur self a favor and stick a walbro 455 pump in it. Don't mess with the 255 BS.

If Ur going e85 put a 2.8 or 2.7 on it

Remember u can't always believe Ur Gona get a million miles out of Ur engine Wen u mod it. U have to treat it like a race car. Always checking fluid levels. Use good oil and filters. And a clean air filter.

The stock Lsj exhaust mani is good to 300 HP. So stick a Zzp 3" dp with a 2.5 exit on the car. U will notice that right away.

corsa touring is a great system not rice at all

any 80# injectors are fine really. definately run e85. different fuel pump isnt necessarilly required unless yours is shitting out which happens to maby people so may as well. also some have fueling issues in the high rpms depending on ****

you should run a 2.8 pulley its fine like that

zzp headers are great i recommend the longtube catted setup midlength is reportedly good too

dual pass allows coolant to pass through your intake manifold twice instead of four times to not allow heatsoak as bad. a great upgrade to the cooling system.

front mount heat exchangers simply add more coolant to the system which is good and bad. allows the coolant to not heat up as fast but it dont cool.down as quick either, save for the fact that it is right up front. that helps alot.

never heard of that tuner theres lots of good tuners though. nothing beats a dyno tune

you should be between 270-280 hp id say if tuned up good with e85

welcome to the forums btw. lots of great info on here please join, look around, google search. its all been covered before.

I've already grown very fond of my corsa.. is the 3"dp a necessity for a setup similar to this or could I keep the corsa around?

My thoughts on the pump too.
I might not even get to go e85, its not very readily available in NC from what I'm reading, just have high hopes that I can track down pumps in my area.

And I do, I maintain my baby constantly.

Thanks man.
I'm gonna run a 2.9 until I can for sure find e85 around and I can get cooling mods in place to support an even smaller pulley.
And I didn't know of pcmsforless either, a friend of mine pointed them out and I figured I'd give them a look.
Thanks for the input on dual pass, that along with a good h/e should support a 2.8, maybe 2.7 pulley you think?

Update:
Got my gm stage 2 belt, 2.9" pulley and hub, and harness all in the mail headed my way.
Looking into fuel pumps now and saving up for some injectors..

Also, got some wicked cool stickers. Three of them

3x15 = 45 whp. From stickers.

And now I ask: walbro 455 for a fuel pump? I'm gonna go e85 and my stock one has a loooooot of miles on it. I know, "if it ain't broke.." but I'd rather just go ahead and be safe.
I've decided that in the end I'm gonna end up on a 2.8, maybe even 2.7" pulley. I wanna run the 2.9 with minimal cooling mods first to see what kind of heat levels I'm dealing with so I dont have to go overboard on cooling..

No cooling mods or anything required on a 2.8" pulley?
I'm looking at doing just about the same thing. The fuel pump is just one of those."lets play it safe" deals. As are the cooling mods for the most part.

at the time I only had a Front mount heat exchanger. However I would recommend doing a dual pass and option B as well. You will love it. It pulls so hard. I was on E85 btw

Was a zzp exchanger or did you get it elsewhere?
I plan on running both dual pass and option b eventually. Trying to budget it out so I can get my parts/tune and h/e done by the new year, and dual pass, option b and other various parts tax season.
