Yep thats it. and if you cant afford it. wait. I know the excitement of buying parts believe me. but wait till you can afford it so you can do everything right and you will be happier with the results.

I'm buying all the parts in waves since I get paid on the 1st and 15th.
Like.. this payday I got my injector harness, pulley, and my belt
Next payday/black friday I'm gonna try to get a good deal on my injectors and pulley hub.
Then my december checks go to cooling mods and tuning.
I've got it budgetted out pretty well.

ok got it. just saying install everything all at once. I wouldnt run the 2.8 pulley on only the stock cooling system. not saying it cant be done.. just recommend you dont. If you have any further build questions please PM me. I can give you a pretty good idea on what to expect from each mod and general info. best of luck!

Bro I'm new, but I'm not THAT new
Nothing wrong with leaving parts in their.boxes sitting on the floor, drooling and eagerly counting down the hours until my paycheck clears!
But thanks man, I appreciate it and ill definitely hit you up if I need some.guidance

Just asking because there are other things to consider, such as struts, and Control Arm Bushings

and as long as the engine has been taken care of.. it wont blow up. Just mod correctly and get a good tune.

Well than dont worry too much. if you want to go further than what you are at now (TVS, turbo, N02) then perhaps replace the timing components. However if you go your route power mods, plus maybe a 50 shot of nitrous with a good tune and a new clutch. you will put the hurt on a lot of cars and will run for a long time.

I don't think I'm gonna go much further along than this, I just want a quick daily driver, not a racecar

Bump with an update!
Finally got all my parts together, waiting on injectors in the mail and ill be good!
My question is, with everything listed in the op would I be capable of running s1 or possibly s2 cams without blowing up?
Also note that I'm not running e85/80s, running 93/60#s on the stock fuel system

cams wont hurt you

The cooling mods are just a precaution as I've got a high mileage lsj and I want to be as soft as possible on it. Kinda like lubing up before insertion. But yeah, I agree. This thread is just helping me keep my thoughts a little more organized as my mind tends to wander.
That being said, sounds like s1 cams might be in the works.

Actually they do Kev.

The SS/SC AEM intake is 3", but only replaces the factory airbox.

for one a dual pass dose nothing to control how fast the temp goes up it just helps temp recovery an option b is the best bang for the buck as it constantly bleeds the system but dose not add capacity if you want to help control temp rise put a griffen h.e. or a zzp stealth along with an option b

since your worried about your high mileage lsj the smart move would be to leave it alone or put a gm kit on it and be done or just man up mod the ***** off of it and be ready to accept what happens good or bad but you still need to go read about engines and modifying them because you are completely clueless

I wouldn't say completely clueless. Its amateur hour in this thread for sure, but that's just because when I search I come up with a lot of results that end up being way over my head. Once I start getting more hands on time with modding and watching the process unfold I will get a better understanding of the spectrum.
