Jbody intake issues.
Jbody intake issues.
Has anyone had fitment issues with the JBody intake?? I have had mine for almost a year and even though i was impressed in the begining with it i have decided to chane my opinion. The intake is made of a soft aluminum and since it doesn't fit 100% I ran into some issues with it rubbing as shown

This is a result of the car being lowered and having a bulge in the fender liner

I have since remove the intake and switched over to a Rebel Autoworx CAI made of Stainles steel. The angles are better no fitment issues and works on a 2006 and 2007 SS/SC.. not sure if it works on a 2005 but im sure it does

I would recomend THIS CAI to anyone and stand by it 110%!!

I have a ss/sc but my injen was rubbing and i emailed them and i sent them $50 and they sent me a new style intake. I had to send the old one back to get my $50 back, im still waiting on that. The new style intake fits nice.
A bit of an update.... the main reason that i wanted a CAI is i do ALOT of driving (52k in just over a year) and wanted to save a bit on gas. So far im averaging 7.2L/100KM or 33MPG mostly all highway driving. I never got that with my old intake. So for those of you thinking of getting a CAI the one by Rebel Autoworx is the way to go!!
I dont agree with that man.People pay good money for there ****.If i buy something for my car,i dont want it to have any fitament issues.I dont care if its a $10 part or a $300 part.If its not gonna fit like factory,i dont want it.
