We used a lift, 16-19mm sockets/wrench, a electric saw and a press. It's very difficult if you do not have a press. It's pretty straight forward though, just unbolt the control arms (4 bolts) and use the press to press the new bushings into place after you torch or cut the majority of the old bushing out. After they are in place just re-install the control arms and your done.

I just ordered the JBP control arm bushings and the JBP motor mount. They look like very nice pieces, I can't wait to receive and install them!

lol the Tint is legal limit, it's really not all that dark, glad to hear you like the bushings, the motor mount helped alot with the wheel hope as well, and the vibration really isn't as bad as i origonally thought it might be. you get pretty used to it quickly.

question

anybody have pics before installed and installed?
is this something you could do without a lift or press? I want to know i have had my eye on the wheel hop solution and these seem to be the best trade off between vibration and wheep hop elimination.
thanks guys.

can you install them by leaving the front bushing installed, pry the control arm out enough to reach the lower control arm bushing and use a air hammer to install the new CABs or no?

mine after not even a year. contacted jbp, they told me i installed them wrong.

i had a thread on them, basicly i summed it up as by deisgn you cannot use a stiffer bushing in that location and expect it to last.

I was waiting for Sharkey to post. It is simple that joint not only goes up and down in its travel it goes in and out...poly cant work. Stock bushings, or stiffer stock style bushings or a spherical joint. Take your pick. If you check the GMPP build book it tells you what to do, but i guess folks have to go down the road over and over...no disrespect, but its kind of like a cat eating goldfish out of the fish bowl. Everytime new fish are put in the bowl, those little fishies think: hey nice pussycat....
