still having terrible jerking acceleration

A/F is perfect with the tune from 21CMC, but under light to mid acceleration around 3.5K to 4K it falls on its face and the MAF goes crazy

We need to resolve this...im out about 400 bux in attempted fixes and paying tuners to resolve OTTPs tune idiosyncresies.

My car is nearly undrivable in anything other than babying it around town to get to work and back!

Josh, tell me what you need! Ill do whatever i can to provide it...

send me an email...

vwatson@peerlessmfg.com

i dont have any logs from the dyno session, however i can send you the tune file with correct AF ratios but still jerking crazy

if i need to ill pay $95/hr again to have them log it and save it to my jump drive

we have to get this worked out immediatly ...im out so much cash for troubleshooting and tuning its not even funny...cash that would have gone right back to OTTP for parts for build!

no not yet man. i got wideband installed yesterday and seeing quite a bit of improvement after wokring with that. idle never seems to change we cut 40 % fuel at idle to see and it sits at 10 AFR. normal driving its ***** around 14 i would say and at wot its around 11.4 . were still working on it though. we dropped timing a little bit as well.

but if i get an email or if you want the tune file we have been working on i could shoot you that in a n email

is the jerk still present? cuz it is more than just too rich causing it to stumble...when it jerks it pulls fuel nd adds timing...

the fueling im not concerned about, we can tweak that

i would appreciate seeing the tune file you have, likewise i could send mine to you also

return style should fix it. idle is rich due to injectors flowing too much

thats because of the tune. there should be no need for return style for this kit. i leaned it out a bunch and havent seen the jerkiness yet. and its still a bit rich

He is correct about the return style. For the best running car you will need lower fuel pressure at idle.

Wow after reading this it makes me really reconsider buying OTTP stage 3... Are there seriously that many problems with the tune ?

Because it wasn't known at the time. Our test car was more modified than you guys are and didn't have these problems.

I still haven't received any useful files. A couple people are sending files with a beta version of hpt, we don't use the beta so I can't open them. Please send them with a stable release version of hpt.

allow me to clarify

We are not bashing OTTPs tuning ability or claiming no one should buy from them...because frankly had they recommended this kit required the use of a built motor...then i would have saved up enough to buy one with this kit...

the issue is simply the tune file was not developed for a bolt on car...as it was marketed for

i will continue buying OTTPs products, however i feel some store credit is in order after all that I have gone thru/spent money on this TVS tune

exactly the issue is the tune...plain and simple!

no additional mods have been required in the past to make these cars drivable

ya,I'm getting so sick of this problem. I went and tryed to get it tuned, they got the a/f ratio fixed, but the jerkyness is just as bad. I do have a bad o2 censor that i need replaced before he can finish it,but i dont see that fixing the jerkyness.I wonder if going to 60lb injectors would help at all.....idk what the deal is,this is getting frustrating though, wasting my money on troubleshooting.
