I must have missed that memo.

let me write that down: "Not allowed to mod, unless you dont care about warranty"

got it.

I just bought the stage II kit!!!

I just put on my intense transmission bushings and those help alot, and now for the Stage II. I hope I can find a place to install it for a reasonable price. I can't wait.

I don't understand why there are so many people that have to throw in their negative stance on something positive.... bottom line is that someone got a stage II, **** YES! That's what we should all be saying... anything less than "DUDE THAT ROCKS, ENJOY IT!" is just plain stupid...

And Jayson... if you are so big on dropping that turbo in, why did YOU spend the money to get a GM kit? Why didn't you just save up for the turbo? And I'm pretty sure your signature could be summed up with GM STAGE 2...

Lets just all agree that it's awesome when more people are modding, regardless of how they do it. Some people go for looks, some go for power, it doesn't really matter how much they paid, if they think it's a good deal, then more power to them. I don't care if it's American dollars, Canadian money, or Israeli money... bottom line is that this guy has got himself a modified Balt, and that's all that freakin matters!

PS... congrats man!

If you don't mind me asking...How much did you pay for your tint? Is it really dark?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks bro...now I just gotta watch out for those damn cops...

I got my tint done for $200 bucks. It's fairly dark, which allows privacy but you can still see fairly well at night.

PS, I like that price on the GMPP exhaust. What dealer are you running through?

Gateway Chevrolet in Brampton. It's one set of lights east of Torbram Rd. on Queen St. 905.791.7111. Talk to a guy named Sean in parts, and say you're part of the cobaltss.net group. Here's a link to their location. http://maps.google.ca/maps?f=q&hl=en...7635&z=15&om=1
Check it out. They're good guys.

Where did you get your tint done?

i paid 250 total for my home made stage 2 kit, just has the GM stage 2 tune. Im not saying dont get it, i just wish so many people didnt parade the stage 2 kit around like its something special. the GM stage 2 is a rip off, plain and simple.
The tune is crap and the injectors leave little room for advancement.

why do you keep saying that like your some kind of genius, and the rest of us are stupid.

WE KNOW ITS A RIP OFF.

but your not PAYING for the parts, the parts arent worth that much. EVERYONE KNOWS THIS.
your paying for the fact that we have 245hp WARRANTIED.

and obviously. to alot of us. thats WORTH the money.

and FYI that IS something special. show me another car manufacturer that will up your HP rating by almost 20% UNDER WARRANTY.

I agree... personally I plan on voiding my warranty, but I'm not going to do that right away. I figure once I'm done upgrading everything that I can with GM warrantied parts, then maybe I'll consider voiding my warranty. I figure I should have my car for at least a year with warranty.

You could also get better fuel injectors pretty easily if you wanted to piece the GM kit yourself. The main thing that GM cares about is the hub, belt, and pulley... the fuel injectors could be after market and it's not going to void your warranty. Sure they aren't going to cover your fuel injectors, but the rest of the vehicle is still fine. So there's still lots of room to upgrade your vehicle, you just have to be logical about it.

Hmmm....that's funny. Well, then again you did piece together your own Stage II kit and saved alot of money.....that's something to speak of. Screw warranty, are you with me bro!

WOW!!! I love Stage 2. Car feels much smoother b/w shifts and I love the 7k rpm redline. I was able to hit 120-125 km/hr just in 2nd. Absolutely amazing and I love the fact that I'm still under warranty. Only thing now I have to deal with is my halo projectors. Seems like my LH lo-beam is not working. I checked the wires with a multimeter and I get nothing. Everything else works, but no LH lo-beam. Bulbs are good, I checked em. I dunno what may be wrong. Do you guys think my harness could be messed up somehow?

Unfortunately no...I wish I could have made it. I had already made plans for that day that I couldn't push off. I heard it was a blast though. So...what happened at the meet?

Sweet brother congrats!!! keep a close eye on your clutch. 1 day After I dropped in the stage 2 my clutch blew, then 125 miles later, blew again. my driving habits didn't change. The stock clutch from my experience just can"t hang with the upgrade.

^ Thanks man. I had asked the dealer specifically about clutch wear and I was told it should be able handle Stage 2 no problem. So I'm gonna keep my fingers crossed. =)

How could you tell? Did you re-tune yours? What were your numbers like if you don't mind me asking?
