Just installed GMPP Sport Exhaust

I just installed the sport exhaust and I was wondering what it will sound like when it's broke in. Will it louder or quieter? I know there have been a lot of questions about this exhaust in here before but I dont recall this question being asked. Also, the GMPP manifold is going on next week. Will this make the exhaust sound deeper? Thanks in advance!!

I dont know that youll get much of a noticable audible change with the manifold.

My GMPP exhaust was slightly used when I bought it so it was already broke in.
but I wouldnt think the sound would change that much would it?

the manifold makes the tone a tad deeper, and yes, you can notice the exhaust and manifold on the butt dyno.

Didnt really notice any sound difference after 1K miles on ours, and if it is deeper is so little its not noticeable. We are getting dual exhaust soon so its deeper sounding.

Most all exhausts I've installed, they get deeper and louder with the more miles you put on.

I thought mine got deeper, but a tad quieter after it broke in. Maybe I'm hallucinating?

The sound of the exhaust doesn't change much once it is broken in, but it does get a little deeper.

The exhaust manifold really isn't noticeable. Maybe a tad deeper.

The biggest change in exhaust sound was putting on the downpipe. That made the sound a ton deeper. Its actually pretty loud now. For me, its the loudest a 4-banger should be.

It is deep enough now. I like it. I just don't remember it being as loud as it is now when I rode with someone that had it and the GMPP manifold on their car for a while.

Mine seemed to get quite a bit louder after about 200-300 miles. I don't think the tone changed much, but it definitely got louder. I just remember when I first drove it with the exhaust, it wasn't as loud as I wanted or expected. For example, inside the cabin with windows up, I could barely hear it. Now, inside the cabin with the windows up, it sounds like it did with the windows down when i first got it. If you get what Im saying.

I hope mine don't get any louder. It's loud enough for my taste. People just jerk their head around when I rev it up while driving.

That's how I made my decision. I heard it in person and fell in love with it. The one I heard was with the GMPP manifold though. I think it sounded deeper with the manifold. It didn't sound as loud on the other persons car but I think it was because I was in the passenger seat and the exhaust comes out of the drivers side.

It's just taking me a bit to get used to it. It does sound mean as hell though. The only downfall is the clearance to the ground is not as good. It sits quite a bit lower than the stock exhaust. It scrapes on my driveway because its a weird angle.

You will have better clearance because you don't have your lowered. You should be okay. I'll keep you posted on the manifold install. Feel free to pm me if you see my sig and it's installed.

Edit: Has anyone felt a loss of power with this exhaust? It feels like it doesn't pull as hard anymore.
