Just noticed this

So when I was just out changing my spark plugs I noticed this on the brake reservoir. Is there supposed to be a hose going over this or is it just a breather type plug?

Its a breather vent. Never seen any with a hose hooked up

Yea I figured.

I had looked around for any hose that would just be laying there unhooked and there was nothing. Just wanted to be sure.

I never like that design. I think it is retarted since dirt can go down that vent!

is the brake fluid open to the atmosphere? if so, thats a great way to contaminate you fluid via water absorbshion.
