just ported my SC!

I pnp the inlet and outlet of my sc as well as changed the oil. I immediately knew there was a difference when my WOT afr was out of wack before tuning. now it's tuned just right and I believe picked up a few ponies as well as about 4-7* difference in IAT2 temps. Glad I took the time to do it, haven't checked the difference in boost just yet though, I'm too busy smiling at WOT the whine is also noticeably louder.

just thought I'd throw some ideas out there for people with little else to mod or little money, I'm not a pro pnp guy by any means, but I'm glad I did it and thought I would share.

it was gm supercharger oil that was sitting in my garage, I was like eh and dumped it in. You'll probably have to get it at the dealership or online. It took me maybe a few hours, I used a dremel and opened the outlet a bit then smoothed it working down on sandpaper grits, then I did the inlet as far as I could fit my hand.

I'm also porting my supercharger. Its definitively worth the while. . How much did you remove in the outlet and inlet?

I only removed a little out of both more so on the inlet and smoothing that out. But even if I didn't remove enough, it still made a hell of a difference. oh and you might want to get the gunk off the sc gasket and intake manifold.

I'm rebuilding a m62 right now, ported outlet, polished inlet and interior casing, and a full exterior polish. Im doing it to sell but its so tempting to keep lol.

btw I hope you measured out the oil and didnt just dump a bottle in.

When a sc is ported it will mainly lose boost since u are oping it up. U create more cfm but less air with more cfm.....
