KNOCK wtf

ok so i was out just fooling around with my interceptor gauge and i was recording the knock retard. 1st pull 2nd and 3rd gear. 2nd gear was beautiful it showed like 0.2 shifted to 3rd came up on 5400 rpm bumped up to 1.5 ok nothing crazy.
so i was like ok lets try 1 more time
2nd gear was fine hit 3rd came up on 5400 and the car shuttered i was like wtf shut it down right there
checked the log it went like this
5300 - 0.0
5351 - 0.3
5400 - 1.4
5435 - 5.9!!!!!!!!! WTF
5468 - 4.8
5520 - 3.0
5580 - 2.1
then it was steady at 1.3 up till 6k rpm and then it backed down to 0 as i was fully off the throttle
i did one more pull same thing 2nd and 3rd and at 5400 rpm in 3rd it only showed 1.7 and never went higher
so my question is why is it so drastically different

runs were done about 3 min apart
and i did a log of iat2 2nd 3rd and 4th and it got to about 135 at the top of 4th which is pretty accepable for my mods 2.8 60s full exhaust
im getting hp tuners tomorrow but it will be a while befor im savy enough at it to do my own tuning

Who tuned you and what time of the year? Any knock is unacceptable. A small amount during a shift can be the engine moving in the engine bay.

To many factors go into how the ECU does what it does, but something was different that run.

well theres no one around me who does it accept for cobalt addiction
ill have HPtuners tomorrow, is it as simple as just getting an emailed tune from someoneo or is there more to it. iv been reading the hpt forums the past few weeks and the whole tuning process is very indepth almost scary at times, iv learned a little from it but its tought with out haveing the program in front of me. obviously i have a long way to go befor im ready to do my own tuning so what are my options?

With some good logs, its not hard to dial in a tune.
