knocking noise

So heres the story.. I was speeding about 2 months ago and bam I thought my motor blew, but it was my lifters.. Anyways I towed it home and like 2 weeks later replaced about 4 lifters.. I didn't check the oil or anything because I thought it was good.. Anyways a couple days ago it starting making this knocking noise and I checked the oil and the dipstick wasn't even at the minimum point so I added 3 quarts of oil and it still didn't read anything.. So I didn't drive my car for a couple days and changed the oil and added some oil detergent.. Anyways the noise is still there and we think its the lifters.. I don't want to buy all 16 of them and replace them all and that end up not being the problem.. What do you guys think it is..? Click to watch the video.

So either the car burned the oil or you forgot to fill it. Sounds like its time for a new engine or rebuild

How long was it ran with almost no oil?

Most likely bearings are effed and you need a new engine/rebuild

You need a full rebuild. Or do a Saab 9-3 B207R motor swap. hehe

Engine damage occur's instantly without any oil. I can only imagine the damage with 1 month of no oil.

I doubt the only damage was some bent valve's the first time. They don't just bend themselves for no reason.

But maybe you left out a part of the story. Add to your sig at the end. "New Motor"
