ok this is weird and kinda scareing me...

i have about 8000 km's on my new 06 SS S/C cobalt. i bought it back in late june.

almost all of the KM's are highwat k's.

i have noticed in the last 2 weeks a weak accleration... i am running 91 octain. what should i do?

i can't just go into the dealership and say... "oh i have a slow accleration when flooring it"


also fomr time to time... when i first start off from say a stop sign or traffic light... i have a bad start... no not drivers error... it jerks... so i have to sift into second. it only does this once and awhile... but its gotten me some WTF look's.

can any one suggest what i do or maybe what my problem is.

oh and jsut to note i have ZERO performance upgrades. the only none stock thing on the car is the stereo. lol

 

you could get them to do some tests on it, tell them it has felt sluggish lately. The dealership that I bought mine at had a black cobalt ss/sc on the lot and it wouldn't crank, the guys told me that before it happend it started having less power and such, that was the only one they had on the lot, so i got them to get me a silver one from another dealership.

 

I would still take it back to the dealer and have them look into it...

ok bad news... i can't bring it to my dealership... they know my driving habits...

me and my mom we're talking about me booking my car in(she works in t he srvice department thier) she said the mehcanics know my driving habits...

i have been known to push my rides to thier limits... i guess in a small town things spread quite fast... fricken small town chatter...

so what do you guys recomend? i have been banned from my own shop (Webb's Ford) for buying a chevy. should i book it into a dealership in edmonton or vegervile?

as the shop in lloyd has a 3-4 week waiting period...

 

What do your driving habbits have to do with your warranty? If the car can't go to red line then why have the option to go to 6500 rpm? If GM didn't want you to drive the car above X number of RPMs then they should limit the revs to that number and then give horsepower figures for that RPM. They should stand by their product.

 

well i don't want them to try and blame my driving habits on the problem. the rev limiter is still thier. as said no upgrades other then my stereo... which is in shambles right now

argh i don't need more problems right now.
my truck just blew its orginal motor at the worst time possible. after 21 years of devoted service to its 2 owners she was laid to rest... i knew that propane would be the death of it... just not this soon...

the cavi i have can not be driven as she is sold.

and the cobalt is looking at me as if i did somethign wrong to her.
