Ok guys I know there are tons of these threads out there but i want to clarify.

I bought my car on May 4th 2006. 2 weeks later a friend and I decided to try the airbox mod, well it felt great right away, I got the car home and it threw a CEL. Well thats the end of that. I put the stock airbox on and forgot about it.

Well today I decided I would look for some fixes. Well hear it seems to be. First I went to the dealer and had them do the TSB Bul. 06-06-04-33. This fixes the CEL for the abovce problem, it also solves the jumping idle problem, so far, knock on wood. I then proceeded home and did the airbox mod again. Well this time it was sick. The boost definitely jumps quicker and the supercharger sounds like, well it just sounds great, i got a bunch of looks while passing.

Personally anyone who wants to this is worth a try the TSB is free and it will fix a lot of problems. I will keep everyone updated if anything changes but so far so good

mine (CEL) has not been on in months did mine a year ago and it stopped finally....so who knows why it did that? but it does sound good for sure i love it.. Gonna upgrade soon!

 

i mean its free, and its always good to have the newest software on the pcm, if you have time head to the dealership and git r dun

 

i want to get this done but what do u need to tell the dealer u need to be done

 

all the dealer does is raise your idle 100 to 150 rpms my dad did mone for me cuz he works at a dealership a few days later it was surging agian.

 

what does TSB mean?

tell them the bul. number above and they take care of it. Yes I was told about the previous fix which they did raise the idle, there has been another update since that, this is supposed to fix it all. As of now I put about 50 miles on my car and no check engine or surging, Ill see tomorrow after the auto cross. The dealer told me of the previous version but the newest download was dated july 06

 

well a whole day of driving and beating her on the highway, NO PROBLEMS AT ALL. looks like she is running great again, just thought i would update anyone that cared about this fix
