Turns out we likely jumped timing a little bit swapping the oem cams back in (we did it the quick and dirty way of holding the gears in place and straight swapping the cams lol) so luckily i discovered that the crank would'nt turn before attempting to start the car.

so i gotta yank the super damper off somehow anyway now, along with the front cover, and figure out my timing situation. woooonderful. lol.

the reason we swapped the cams that way was because laziness and the ati damper is like siezed onto the crank far as im concerned. so my trip isn't over yet with this car.

Nah we literally just held the gears in place by hand thinking we could muscle the cams back in which pretty much worked perfect until the intake cam popped out before setting a cap on

All fixed. New tensioner, oem balancer on, all is timed, all is well. Still got a few odds and ends to put on. Need a new header/dp gasket for sure haha.

Attempted to remove ati again and was success.
The tensioner had overextended which caused the lockup. The #4 intake rocker fell off. The locating tabs were bent flat on the exh cam gear.

Went and got a brand new tensioner and used my oem balancer, car starts fine just has a nasty header/dp leak.

Oh which reminds me I had purchased a new GM headgasket that i will not be needing if anyone else needs it

Pretty awesome actually haha.

I honestly missed the m62 and the stock experience. Its less harsh of a driving experience now. Once the exh leak is gone its really going to sound nice. Feels like it still would make ~250whp.
