okay so i don't know why, but when i pulled off my blower the other day, there was oil and soot kinda stuff between the blower, gasket, and manifold. same thing between the manifold, gasket, and head. and the manifold is quite dirty inside nothing crazy but a good amount of what looks like black ****... wtf is all of that? intake looked clean, i was running a catch can for all this time, blower rotors are good and i havent lost any oil. pcv? i replaced it but hey who knows

Ill have to take pictures of what im talking about i think.
Definately concerned about the oil though. Besides maybe some coolant that leaked when i pulled the bleeder rail im not sure what could have found its way there besides oil from the valve or something.

hmm just found this...
10812 GM Ecotec Billet Waterneck Block Thermostat 2 0L 2 2L 2 4L L61 LE5 LSJ LNF | eBay
we were thinking about trying to delete that big heater box on the drivers side of the block above the trans, would this be a means of doing so? any gains to be had here? lol

You don't need to get rid of the heater core hoses. I have mine just blocked off to where it would have gone to the oil cooler on the stock Gen 1 block, so I still have heat. But no, there is really no benefit to doing that Rice.

Just joined the TVS club... i havent even got my drivetrain parts yet
Its gonna have a 2.8 on it :x
Anyway it turns out that my clutch wasn't too bad just had some scorch marks on it so I'm going to replace it with a KY stage 3 since its all out and an LNF throw out bearing I had taken my trans and axles to performance auto works and they found out that the splines on the passenger axle and the half shaft had stripped because the actual work itself out somehow so all I need is a set of GM Performance axles a new half shaft clutch and what not and I'm good to roll Thank God

bout to start getting my **** back together finally.
today bought some new moog swaybar endlinks and sway bar bushings.
new axle seals
new flywheel bolts
new laminova seals
new intake mani gasket
--IT TURNS OUT i was having a leak at the intake manifold; good thing i took off the manifold to drill and tap a bleed line for the option b. There was coolant all up inside it, on the mating surfaces between the blower and mani, as well as the mani to head.
maybe that would explain why my boost was no longer near 20 psi...
my current shopping list...
LS4 throttle body. quick question - this bolts right up to the TVS right, all i need is a 3" to 3" coupler for my 3" intake? and tuning
1200 or 1000 cc injectors from AL
Either a BRFPS or something that Al can come up with
GMPP Axles
KY Stage 2 clutch - holds 365 ft lbs, more than enough for me
New flywheel
Throw out bearing
One new hub bolt... one of mine went missing
new intermediate shaft or a used one from somebody
aaaand as of now i think that's it. so still quite a ways from getting this S.O.B. back on the road but it will happen.

I would rethink your clutch choice. I have about 1500 miles on my KY and hate it. Chatters bad. High engagement. And today it slipped in fifth gear, pretty badly. It only did it once, but my GMPP never ever slipped...

The gmpp clutch shouldnt be slipping on a 300hp car man.
Hell, my stock clutch doesnt even slip with 300hp.
I don't think you should be seeing 20 psi with a ported head on the M62 anyways. I did forget what pulley you have though. Stock head on 3" exhaust I saw 15.5 psi on a 2.7, now with the ported head and cams but on the stock catback I see 17 on my daily on the same 2.7. I saw 16 psi on the TVS and 2.9 on stock cams with the ported head and full exhaust
As for the clutch, there is no reason a M62 or even TVS car should ever be able to get a GMPP clutch to slip unless there is premature wear from someones driving style. The power is just delivered so linear that the clutch barely even has to work to hold it. Hell I couldn't even get my stock one to slip on the TVS with 370whp except for once at the track, then I let it cool and raced it again the next day lol. I may be easy on cutches though. My 260 ft/lbs rated clutch is holding up to 600whp and 425+ ft lbs lol
