It makes sense. Since airfow is forced around the laminova, the gap being on the sides would just be that much less fin area the charge passes over/through.

Pistons are out for delivery!

I think I decided on my clutch setup. Oem flywheel, and a Spec stage 3+. All the problems I've heard about spec were the non + pucked clutches.

Sucks for me because the 3+ for the 6bolt/f23 has the rating of your 8bolt stage 2+ haha.

Got all my parts exceot the axles and halfsbaft now. Gonna be busy puting **** together this weekend, trans on, subframe on, ic system back up and together. God damn i have a lot to do lol

Also figured this would be the place to announce a big change in my work life!

I just got a new job after a year of searching and throwing my resume around!

Ive been a civil engineer for 5 years and have been really burnt out, stuck where i am at, same pay blablabla.

Well i just got hired today at a firm that essentially helps big companies do their work. As in, its still civil work. But my job will be much more dynamic than just making drawings. I will be supervising work that the companies are doing, planning routes, revising drawings, managing, etc! And a deeecent pay increase to boot, which is just starting pay!

If i play my cards right, i think this new company will take me places, guys! So im very excited for something new. Im going in early in the morning to do a few things there, besides that, my 2 weeks notice is in at my current job.

The only downfall is, i am going to have a lot less freetime at work now, which is AWESOME because ive been so bored and depressed the last few years with my deskjob, but that also means no more css 8 hours a day but im sure ill still maintain my star (if i currently have it that is) during the rest of my day so dont get any ideas bill

get an aluminum spec flywheel especially with the f23 or else it will eat right through the flywheel... had that happen on one. the disk is too aggressive for the f23 setup. buy both from spec and they will balance the assembly together and mark it for installation

some specs are pucked. the 2+ is full face on one side pucked on the other and 3+ is full face on both sides

congrats adam

Thank you for the input. Would think that would be a solid setup for a tvs/small n2o shot setup?

Shooting for close to 375-400hp before spray, and 300 tq. Probably no more than 320-340 tq tops on spray. Stage 3 is rated for 421tq, so 355-370wtq based on 12-15% loss. I know a lot more goes into holding capacity, and I feel the 3+ is overkill. But i want to avoid the non+ models from reviews, and the 2+ tq rating is very low.

i cant say i have seen a lot of negative reviews on the + model clutches for this car or any. I do not base my reviews on particular products unless its for a specific car. Certain products work better for others.

I dd a 3+ and had it previously in a 450 ft/lbs car with 30 k on the clutch and its been swapped into my newer car now and has an additional 35k on it. no issues what so ever. and every cobalt i do i more or less put a 3+ in. I usually take out zzp clutches and ky clutches for putting in the specs.

i would do the 3+ its really the only full face disk. it will be overkill but its better to have more then less and its a good clutch. Only issue i have seen is the f23 flywheels are made from inferior metals compared to the f35 stuff. so do not run an aggressive disk on the oem flywheel for the f23. i like the way it engages and i like to have extra room for holding power.

Keep spinning the flywheel until it lines up right. There are some odd spacing a on there but trust me it fits.

yeah do not resurface it. for what they cost its not worth the headache. usually shops take off too much material and you will over extend the tob.

anyways. rotate it around some more. i have only had the bolt issue on the fidanza flywheels.
