leaking tranny fluid

k guys, im begining to leak transmission fluid, and imnot gonna give up on this car lol, too much time and money into it already, my big question is, can you see the tranny casing crack, i belive its just an axle seal

so my question does anyone offer new seals, and how hard are they to change

if its leaking near the block... then I don't even want to say anything... but if its just the axles seals... easy fix

I"ve seen two broken casings this week alone... both were cracked inside the bellhousing cause fluid to leak at the bottom where it bolts to the motor

If the case is cracked your screwed. GM Document ID # 1864872 refers to this (not a Service Bulletin but Preliminary Information available to GM employees only)

If you goto your dealer they'll see this and deny you all of your warranty. Look for stiffer hardware and axles in the 2008 model year. Otherwise a cracked case you need to get a new tranny.

Oh yea, all of this is caused by excessive wheel hop. GM looks at it as abuse.

did i ever ask about warranty no, i ave blackballed warranty from day 1, so yah, and its coming from the axle its self i believe, i think its coming from the axles, and dripping down to the bottom which gets closer to the block, maybe ill go take a a good look again, i bet pictures wil help my case lol

so it shouldn't be that bad to fix... but even with breaking both axles... I still didn;t have a leak... what you do to the thing

Calm down, tryin to help and you snap about warranty. Seeing as its still within the warranty terms I thought you might like the info.

lol, i think it was putting it i broke the seal, but maybe i got a cracked housing, well im goign otuside, wiht some brake clean

its jsut a light drip but liek i siad it drips right from the axles to the bottom bolts
so that why i tihnk its a seal

after a kick updity do, in the air, i find that its just leaking from the axle

yah i gonna **** my pants here soon, lol, i got myself almost every wheel hop mod possible, from cab's to lowered, to torque dampners and engine mounts, next on my list is traction bars if i need them lol

i just got mine out of the dealership for it leaking tranny fluid, the case was cracked and 4th gear had a tooth chipped off of it, they warranteed it, new tranny and all
