Start with an intake or exhaust. Let the car breath first.

a wot box? for a first mod?
that doesnt make alot of sense.

what do you want from your car with your mods?
usually exhaust work is the biggest all around bang for your buck mod.
good performance gains, nice sound improvements...

No dont go 3 inch, you need back pressure and with a 3 inch you have none.. and you dont have over 300whp..

I would go with a 2.5 or 2.75 inch exhaust

around 18hp/tq

Small the pulley is the more power you will make. but dont think of it like that, if you go lower and a 2.8 then your starting to look into meth and dual plate. but meth is always good

2.8, 60s, HE, and a tune will be just fine

anything lower than a 2.7 is over spinning the supercharger and the heat it puts out in HARDCORE!!! all you gotta do is go on cobalt addiction and buy a pulley, 60s injectors/harness, stage 2 belt and ngk bkr7eix spark plugs.... and then go to the dealer ship and drop down the cash for the reflash.. around me its $94 but other places may be higher or lower

Ok i get it. What size is the stock pulley? and do you have to get the reflash? I saw that some pulleys are like i.e. 79mm how are those different from the 2.7's or whatever they are

Yeah, if you get 60s you are going to have to take the car somewhere to get it tuned. Actually if you do any injector upgrade you are going to need to get the car tuned unless you get the GM stage 1 or 2 kits which come with the GM tune.

2.7 is inches. 79mm is oviously mm. 79mm = 3.11 inches. 2.7 inches = 68.5mm.

no they make pulleys all the way down to 2.5 but imo anything past a 2.8 is counterproductive because it generates so much heat that the power increase gets washed out. if you want reliability, stay with a 3" or a 2.9" pulley with 42# injectors. If you want to get a substantial amount of power more without really having too worry about any headaches, go with 60# injectors and 2.8...all with a custom tune of course

You can do 2.7 on 60's maybe 2.6; just depends on the hub. For 300-400 bucks I'd pretty much have to say put together you're own stage 2 (injectors, hubbed pulley, belt, tune) if you can...or get some "silly gas"; but putting nitrous in an american car is sort of blasphemous.

Ok should I get 60s then work my way down to a smaller pulley? How small of a pulley would I need before I change the hub? What's the stock pulley size?

if you change the pulley, you need a hub...unless you get a press on, which I have seen very few people use.

3.3 is stock I think

the heat exchanger cools off the engine and its components to create a more efficient setup... running at cooler temps keeps the air oxygenated to yield higher hp...

A heat exchanger holds and cools the fluid used by the intercooler. Getting a larger heat exchanger allows you to hold more coolant for the air to water intercooler. The more fluid you put into the system the more time it has to cool and the cooler your IAT (Intake Air Tempurature) will be. The cooler the IAT the better. If the IAT gets too high the car will reduce boost and/or timing to prevent detonation.

The dual pass for the intercooler allows 2 intakes for the coolant to enter the intercooler instead of the quad pass from the factory. I.E. The stock intercooler has the coolant flow in from one hose then passes through all 4 laminova cores then back out and into the HE to cool. With the dual pass you have 2 intakes into the intercooler. Each flow only goes through 2 laminovas then back out to the HE. This does two things: 1. It helps to keep the IAT lower as the coolant does not get as hot in the intercooler because it is only making 2 passes instead of 4. 2. It reduces heat soak because the coolant does not get as hot as fast.
