Ok so i just did the air box mod on my buddys ss/sc it was running fine and then he called me later aand said that it blew a code:


p0171: fuel trim bank 1 maf sensor error

any ideas? or should i just clear and see if it pops again?

shouldn't get a code just from airbox mod... did you change the filter to an oiled filter? if so use a non-oiled filter.

Otherwise try cleaning the maf sensor you may have just got it dirty somehow (then clear the code and see what happens)

 

oiled is questionable... im assuming the oil coats the MAF and renders bd readings? i think id rather clear the code and see if it comes back first. i hate having to jack the car up for that lol.
