LNF in 05-07 LSJ

K since there have been ppl blowing motors and doing rebuilds and such ..just wondering but how hard would it to just buy a new LNF engine / tranny and such and put it in the 05-07 ss/sc engine bays or would it basically be EXACTLY the same except for the front mount...dunno if anyones question this yet..specialy since its a lot cheaper than just buying a brand new LNF cobalt...just would basically need the suspension to make it the handeling car..interior who cares i think its just as good as the LSJ

considering he is talking about after popping an engine, a hahn kit of a blown up LSJ isn't going to do a whole lot, lol

It will all fit but your going to need to swap all engine components, wiring harness and PCM. It hasn't been done yet so I don't know what problems you would run into.

well there would be no point in swapping the new FE5 suspension just get some coilovers and swaybars and that would be better than the TC..if you wanna go that route

for the cash of the engine, tranny, ecu, wiring harness, axles?, LABOR, its cheaper to rebuild the bottom end and turbo the car.

interesting idea. but if your going that extensive as far as work goes may as well just make the lsj bullet proof and force feed it like 20 psi from a baby eating turbo

realtively easy i have good used LNF's (more than one) for sale with wiring diagrams to piggyback into an LSJ these motors are turn key come with an LNF ecu, and the only thing you nee dto do is follow the wiring diagram and hook up an exhaust to the manifolds 3250.00 usd....

The LnF is not any stronger the the LsJ. The only reason LsJs are poping are because of bad tunes and a shitty supercharger. Slap on nice turbo set up ( NOT CHEAP EBAY ****!) and you will be fine.

guys...im not rebuilding my engine or thinking about it ..it was simply to see what ppl think about it / if ppl have been thinking about this incase they just want a ss/tc typa thing instead of a ss/sc instead of having to buy the whole damn car
