I didnt get any cels when i installed my K&N cai. i got it form modern performance. $224 right now. i ordered it on a monday and recived it on a thursday. verry fast verry nice and the SC sounds so sweet now.

 

how come sema wont make Cel?

 

sema is a show, they do not make products

 

Because they're going to release massive Cobalt SS products. And GM will probably unveil their Stage 1 and Stage 2 kits.

I heard you get alot better sound out of it. Is that true? I thought exhausts and headers determined the sound of your car.

The sound is addicting, it actually changes the way I drive. I'm now always looking for a good stretch of road to wind it up and hear the s/c whine. You hear the sound from the front intake area of the engine. Its a seperate sound from your exhaust note. Sounds best with the window down.

About the only other sound from up front on the engine that will slap a silly huge grin on my face is the sound of flooring a early 70's muscle car and hearing the secondaries open up on the quadrajet carb

 

and watching your gas needle drop hehe

I went from a 4barrel tunnelram on my 90 GMC pickup 350 to EFI, and I really do miss that hehe

 

Niiiiice. Cant wait to get one! I mean i already see my gas gauge go down so I may aswell have some nice sound to that whine! Anyways i think il order the K&N unless its really worth waiting for SEMA... Does anyone have audio on the K&N>???

 

At this point, I'd just wait a week or so cause SEMA is next week. So you'd recieve the intake during/after SEMA so might as well wait to see what pops up.

 

I dont know if recorded audio would do it justice. It sounds best at 3k rpm and higher and with the window down the mic would prolly just pic up a huge amount of wind noise. But of course I dont have the hardware to try it...
