I know that based on the gearing, 165 will be 6500 rpm in 5th, and 178 will be 7000 rpm. Assuming it is governed around 160, removing it won't do much.

that is complete nonsense to govern it at 160.
the whole reason manufacturers put governors on is because the factory tires are not capable of handling the speed beyond what the governor is set to. which is not the case for the factory Perrelli's.

I have hit 160 so far that was with out my pulley so i am guessing i can get it to go faster.

That pic was on my camera phone right before I hit 160. Sorry its blurry I was trying to keep my eyes on the freeway.

14 - 96.5
15 - 103.4 - boost will bleed off to stock level unless you have tuning, stage, or by-pass mod
16 - 110.3
17 - 117.2
18 - 124.1
19 - 131
20 - 137.9
20.3- 140
