lost boost

lost boost

i used to get 12 to 13 psi now i get 10 to 11 psi.the mods i got done to my car are intake, stage 1, and exhaust. anybody have any idea what could be wrong?

i got a gm catback performance exhaust and it was between 80 and 90 degrees

heat also has something to do with it.

also if the air temps after the blower get too high, it lowers timing and boost.

loosing boost is a good thing that happens after an exhaust, it happens because your exhaust is now more free flowing I'd say it's good but does the car feel any slower or any cels?

then your car is happy my boost guage did the same **** to when i put on my exhaust just enjoy the new parts.

How is that? I thought boost was an intake pressure measurment. I do not think that you should loose boost with exhaust upgrade... I didn't. and I am running a full 3" from the block to the tailpipe.

I can see loosing boost with a more restrictive intake, but better flowing exhaust?

Less restriction (coming from lncreasing pipe diameter) causes the supercharger to flow the same cfm but with less restriction (boost is a measure of restriction).

might have a boost leak.. check the hose that goes betwen the blower and the motor. the same thing happened to me and that was the problem
