Loud Ticking while cold temp outside
Loud Ticking while cold temp outside
I have the GM stage 2 with an intake, no tuning mods. Its been getting cooler out in the 50's at night, I don't know if temp has anything to do with it though. Across all cylinders I hear loud ticking coming from the top of the motor. I change my plugs every 10k miles so its not that. This only happens at idle, when i give it gas it will go away. And it does not happen all the time. If I shut it off and turn it back on it will go away for awhile. Anyone hear this before? It is running smooth and knock is at 0.0 on the aeroforce gauge. Any suggestions, theres no lack of power either, just sounds like a piece...
Hmm, you shouldn't be able to hear the ticking usually from inside. How are the idler pulleys? Sometimes those will make noise as well, I know mine does at cold starts, but once the engine is warm, it does go away. This noise is also audible from inside.

Mine ticks do, but it doesn't matter what the temp is. If it's just the injector thing than that's fine. Always has me a little worried and confused 'cause I didn't know what it was.
