haven't really heard much about what "gains" or anything from those who've done this.

also would a colorado TB be a direct replacement? i've been having trouble with mine so i figured i'd go ahead and replace it with a bigger TB anyway

a bigger throttle body wont do **** unless ur intake tube is bigger and ur intake manifold is bigger yeah u will get more air through the throttle body but what after that u wont push more air through after the tb

not worth the money but if you have to replace your tb anyway I might give it a try. gives you a very touchy throttle though.

i posted approx ten horses gain when i threw an ls4 tb on my car. i love it.
there is a few issues with it though. it causes idle to surge a little which is ok when you get used to it. and the throttle response is crazy touchy. my first and second gears only have two throttle positions now. barely moved (about 1/8th) or wot, anything in between gets kinda pissy.

i heard everyone has issues with that tb anyway so idk man it definatly will not give u more power unless u port ur intake manifold and tb and get a 3in intake

a bigger tb in any application will not produce gains without further modification like bigger intake and porting the intake manifold think about it it just dont make sense u can get more air into the throttle body but then where does it go ur intake mani isnt bigger so u cant move that much air through it just stick with ur stock one or get a different one im just tellin u now u wont gain anything

not really looking for gains now, just need a good option i might be able to get gains from later. all of the manifold/blower/head work to take advantage of it will be a ways down the road

Stop talking, please. You dont know what you are talking about.

I tested a prototype TB and it provided gains on a STOCK car. No idle surge, improved throttle response, increased hp and tq. I can only imagine what it would produce on a modded balt.

you do know air is constantly moving through the intake, bigger TB has a bigger opening at throttle letting MORE air in the supercharger/manifold.. You do not need a bigger manifold or intake.

so heres a question my balt is fully stock never touched it was thinking of getting a LS4 TB 3' Intake. ZZP downpipe and slp single back exhaust 2.5' with a tune. would i see some gains or not as much as if i were to just pulley it.

my only concerns with pulling my car would be wearing down the s/c plus it seems to be safer with just air and exhaust than forcing more air with the s/c but thats just my opinion

oh and my car has 80k miles and never changed the supercharger oil

If you are concerned about running down your blower, stick with a 2.9in pulley or something. You could also ****** up a low-cost, low-mileage blower for a few hundo.

Basically, just do everything. If you can afford it, build your own, shop around, and take your time.

Pulley (of your choice)
injectors
FMHE
Option B or equiv.
Dual/single pass
exhaust
intake
TUNE TUNE TUNE

lol ok so air is constantly moving through the intake tube so it gets to the bigger tb right ok now the whole in the intake mani isnt any bigger so there for ur not getting anymore air in "it seems logical" lmao
