LSJ Oil Temp

Yes! I finnaly have my oil temp sensor installed.

When I purchased a new sensor from Aeroforce, they sent me one that is small enough to fit into an adapter that I have that has replaced my drain plug! Yay no oil pan swap needed now!!

Routing the wires was kind of a pain. But I got them routed. I need to install those sticky clamps so that I can support them better though.

My interceptor reads oil temp on my L61 without an extra sensor. Could've sworn all cobalts had this ability.

Nope, Mine doesnt. I had to get an extra sensor to read Oil Temp, AFR, Oil Pressure, Fuel Pressure, EGT, and Innercooler collant temp.

AFR, oil and fuel pressure, and EGT yes, but oil temp should already be read and why would you get a sensor for intercooler coolant temp? That won't tell you anything important and besides I KNOW lsj's read IAT2's which is the real reading you want. The intercooler coolant temp is not the same as IAT2's and it should be at like ambient temperature or maybe slightly above at max.

bluebalt is correct my Oil temp is displayed on my HPT scans and on my aeroforce. I believe the sensor it below the oil filter and oil cooler on the number 4 cyl side, bottom right. I think...

Well,
I happened to have an extra temp sensor laying arround. And when I installed my OTTP Heat Exchanger, it was recomended to removed the draincock and plug the hole. So I pluged the hole with the extra temp sensor. And wired it up. It wasnt really a forplanned mod, becuase I already had IAT2 and your right IAT2 is important and Intercoller temp isnt. I just did it for the fun of it.

Thats actually not a bad idea. The problem howerver now is if you scrape the front bumper, you are going to snap that sensor off. I ran the OTTP HE before I went turbo. Best thing I did to it was plug the hole after removing the low hanging valve.

Ok as long as you didn't actually spend money on a sensor hoping that it was going to give you useful information lol

I'm guessing you used the lineralizor that the thermocoupler hooks to, then covnerts it to data the interceptor can read?

My EGT is on my Analogic gauge.

He's probably talking about the cat temp that the interceptor reads. Not totally accurate but will give you a ball park figure of what EGTs are at.

I have no idea but that's odd because you seem to have the only interceptor that doesn't read those things lol
