I had one and just replaced it after about 1 year. I could not hold 1st to 2nd gear on Stage 2.
They are fine for a stock setup but if you plan to mod at all and like to power shift once in a while you are in for a rude awakening when it slips at max power (1st to 2nd)
I would HIGHLY recommend the Crate Engine Depot LSJ upgraded clutch. It doesn't cost a lot more $277 bucks with the tool and pipe.

I cant do a search while at work (on base certain features are blocked), but if Im not mistaken then GM upgraded clutch is the best bang for the buck. Can handle the power and doesnt cost much more. I believe the whole setup was under $300...maybe its the same one on CED that jvirginillo is talking about.
Definitely dont skimp out on a clutch..its one of those things where you can save a few bucks, but will probably have to replace it more, costing more in the end.

Where in Canada? I shipped mine to Point Roberts Washington and then picked it up.
Are you near a border town? If so check to see if they have a place like we do where you can drop of a delivery for a nominal fee.
It cost me $5.00 to do this. PLus i pay US shipping rates.
As long as you have a receipt most times you pay no duty.

Now if Mr. Powell speaks up and states the LUK clutch is lame then I would definitely pay attention.
He knows far more than I do.
My recommendation was still the LSJ upgrade which if you are up north is $360.49 expedited to your door. Including the pipe and tool.
I have no idea how good or bad the LUK is but it didn't hold for me and may have had other underlying issues.
For the extra bit of money I would try and scrape together and get the upgrade.
If you read about it on this forum you will see how happy people are with this upgrade even over some of the really $$$ performance clutches.
I am so happy with mine I'll never look back.

funny story. The way I heard it from different sources, mid way in the development cycle well before sale, 2004, it was apparent that the SC clutch was a POS.
For Grand Am racing the cars we built and for what I was doing for Time Attack we immediately went to the Exedy hyper single, and then for Grand Am to a SAAB clutch which became the LNF clutch pretty much, as well as the GMPP upgrade. Sachs make it. Exedy and Sachs are my two favorites to tell the truth.
However, after some years in Cavalier and the Ion , the F23 clutch was working out very good. Exedy were the source for the F23, LUK the F35. Exedy had lost out on the F35 business on price, and they figured that "oh well, hate to lose business but GM will figure it out". GM did and GM asked Exedy after the fact if they could help out and re-quote on a pressure plate or disc. Exedy politely declined.
