Lumpy acceleration

I have noticed, now with stage 3 more than ever, that in second gear acceleration nis kinda lumpy. I was wondering if anyone else had anything like this.

It kinda feeles like either the clutch is slipping and grabbing or the wheels break traction over small road bumps and gain it again. My RPM's vary a little bit when going up, like get slower than faster. I'm hope that its just my tires breaking loose a little but I'm worried it could be my clutch.

I notice it happens more particualry on bumpier surfaces. I don't smell clutch and I'm using winter tires at the moment. Anyone else have this?? ANyone know whats going on??

I have a similar problem sometimes which i believe is "boost surge". Im not sure if thats what it actually is, or why i get this.

sounds like the wheels loosing a bit of traction.... especially since you notice it more on bumpy roads it only makes since

1) the PCM might be pulling timing due to knock (explaining the rpm fluctuation).

-or-

2) your fuel trims need reset (disconnect battery for 20 min, reconnect)

-or-

3) your car is not properly warmed up

-or-

4) at stop lights, keep car in neutral with clutch engaged and try to shift at 3k+ rpm for best clutch performance (remember, our pressure plates are self-adjusting, meaning if you granny shift at 2k rpm, it grabs weak, then give it some redline hell, it slips).

N.B. ---> These are just my best guesses.

I have the GMPP Stage 3 and have no problem with lumpy acceleration. It does struggle to stabilize at idle in zero degree weather, but so do I. Acceleration is strong in second, in fact it usually just smokes the tires through second if I go to WOT.

Its Tag's versoin of GM stage 3. IM pretty sure that I'm ust gaining and loosing traction over bumps. Seems to be the easiest way to explain it. I have been driving around and it pretty much only happenes on bumpy surfaces. I just figured that when the tires lost traction they would go up in smoke completely, not regain it. But, my winter tires act really odd sometimes.

Huh, maybe it's not tire spin then... a can of worms just got opened. I just dont see how it could only be in second gear though, because the engin doesnt know what gear your in, if its lumpy in second gear that should be exagerated in third, shouldnt it?

I believe its definately got to be loosing traction cause it happens to me with just my cai and 3 inch pulley. I aso bought that group buy with tag but still waiting for it cause of the pcm shortage

If I'm layin in to her... especially in 1st or low in 2nd, and hit a bumpy part of the road.. I'll lose traction some... you can feel the wheels slipping. Sucks b/c I can't ever really get a good launch from any intersections around here... they're all horribly rutted and bumpy.
