M62 porting questions

I have been reading and reading threads about this and still have not come up with any real good answer. Some say yes some say no port this much port that much. I was just wondering of those who have actually done this are there any gains. And if so is it worth it any info or pics of this would be greatly appreciated.

I agree with Dayta if your gonna port just port the head, just because obviously lots more gains there and your not taking the chance of taking to much off your m62 if you dont know what your doing, not saying you dont, just stating. Also the machine shop would be responsible for your head if they mess up.. also after you do head mods you can get TVS ;P I personnally dont think its really worth the supercharger nor the time. just my opinion.

If you are going to port your blower, ONLY PORT THE INLET TO MATCH A BIGGER THROTTLE BODY. Don't mess with the outlet.

Extensive research has been done in the cobra community on this.

Lmao, no bigger tb is more air more power, but like he said u wanna port the enterence part of the blower to match hole sizes of the bigger throttle body so air is not getting blocked by the smnaller enterence hole of the blower. - am def gettin me a bigger one. Sorry about typos typing from on my phone lol.

bigger intake, bigger throttle body, bigger blower inlet = more air

More air + more fuel = more power

Cost and time effectiveness is different for each person.

Apparently people have drive ability issues with the LS4?? I'm not to sure.

But yesterday i tested a prototype TB that shows some promising gains. And drive ability was awesome! It gained peak HP, and even more under the curve!

Well, no,

Its a prototype, so its still being worked on, and it will not be made by ZZP or someone like that. Matt, from Kesatie Motorsports in Sarasota, FL is the guy behind this. Its where i took my car to get dyno'ed yesterday. I was the guinea pig for a stock cobalt, and it showed gains on mine.

I will be going back once my stage kit is completed for testing on a stage car. We think it will make even more power once my car is modded, and his prototype is closer to production.

I had a little more info on my dyno thread

true, i have a dyno sheet showing the gains, and he gave me permission to put them on, but i said no.

I told him once it gets closer to production, then release some numbers.

I have ZERO driveability issues with my LS4 throttle body. Then again, I ported it as well as the blower inlet. So it's not like I just bolted it on.

It's all smoothed and ported and matched to my custom made 3" intake.
