I'm going to order the magnaflow cat back exaust tomorrow. As some of you know I haven't had any good luck with my K&N intake. Cel. Anyway I put my stock intake back in for now until someone figures out how to program the car for the intake. My question about the exaust is do yOu think I will get a cel with just the cat back and nothing else done to the car. I'm ordering if from M/P. I will also be asking them what I should do with my K&N intake I bought from them. Rerurn it or wait. Thanks for any input.

You should get no CEL with the exhaust...
I would keep the intake if you plan on getting a GM stage kit... I think they will slacken up the fault parameters with the new tune !

I wouldnt think a catback would because its after everything like the co2 sensor or anything like that. because i believe if you wanted to you could disconnect the whole pipe from the catback and run it with out throwing CEL :P

Does revit up motersports have a dyno. If so how much do they charge for a couple pulls. Thanks

I don't see any reason for concern with an exhaust.

I have a feeling that it takes quite a while for the car to adjust to the intake. When I get my auto tap ill check my afr. I did have a p0171 a few weeks ago but it was reset at a dealership and it has not come back yet.

 

3" cat back for a month now and no CEL. A cat back will not cause a CEL.

 

I ordered my exaust today . I will post up next week when I install it. I would like to have the car dynoed saturday before I install it but don't know were. I have to go to the dealer saturday for an oil change and have them look at a few things. Does anybody know if rev it up has a dyno. Thanks

put mine on last night love it sounds great

 

Well I put the exaust on and love it. It's perfect for me not to loud under light throttle but opens up pretty good under full throttle. It only took me about 40 to install really easy. It's hard to say if it made a performance gain. maybe up high in the rpm range. I love the way the tip fills the hole up much better than the stocker.

Do you have the Altered Atmosphere Exhaust? And why don't they list the Cobalt SS/SC exhaust on their website?

 

You have to call to order, it's more of a one off. The only reason they make one for the SS/SC is because I had them make one for my car so they have the jig to build more.

 

I see. So when you call them and order it, they make it. So far they give the best gain of 10hp. I just don't like the muffler. Kind of ricey but no1 else makes a 3". Those pussies.
